Grad Review

With butterflies in my stomach and my heart pounding I entered grad review. Five different judges interviewing you, looking at your portfolio, and deciding whether you are ready to graduate, yeah, I was nervous. I met with each judge and they had nothing but great things to say about my portfolio and me. They were amazed with my plan I had for after graduation and said I would do great things. I hope so. I walked out with a big smile on my face and confident that I'm ready to leave Brooks and take on greater things. So now what?

Next month I'm going to be doing an internship with Mi Belle Photography studio, www.mibelleinc.com. During the internship I'm going to be learning as much as I can about wedding photography and the business. Why am I so excited? A year ago I was sitting in Borders looking at wedding magazines and one in particular caught my eye. Your Wedding Day magazine with a beautiful 13 page bridal story in it, I just had to buy it and I've looked at it at least 50 times. So then a month ago, I found this internship opportunity with Mi Belle Photography and I pulled up their photography and recognized it. I looked in that Your Wedding Day magazine on my bookshelf and sure enough, it said Mi Belle Photography on that beautiful bridal fashion story. I was hooked. I wanted more then anything to be apart of Mi Belle Photography studio, and starting in exactly a month I will be.

So there are great things to come for me and I am very excited!

Editorial Fashion Story

The past few months I have been learning about fashion photography. It is a different world working with high fashion models, stylists, makeup artists, and hair stylists on every photoshoot. I found that it is a lot to plan, but the images are very rewarding afterwords. I learned a lot and have found that I actually really like fashion photography. Thinking outside the Box

Being creative and thinking outside the box it hard to do sometimes but it always fun and can be very rewarding. I was experimenting with an idea during this photoshoot. My lovely model, Holly, went in a freezing cold pool in January for me while I photographed her swimming in different bathing suits. I owe Holly for being so sweet while being frozen. :-) This idea is a work in progress, but we had so much fun during the photoshoot.
